Referendum on local government reorganization in Ås

The Municipality of Ås is holding a non-binding referendum as to whether Ås should continue as a separate municipality, or become part of a new municipality in Follo. Local politicians and administrators encourage you to take this opportunity to express your opinion.

The election is based on the Common Platform for a New Municipality of Follo. You can choose one of the following:

  • Ås continues to be a separate municipality
  • Ås becomes part of a larger Municipality of Follo
  • Blank vote (abstention)

Who can vote?

Anyone listed in the National Registry as being resident in Ås, as of 1st of April 2016, and aged 16 or older by the end of 2016, can vote. If you are unsure as to whether you are in the electoral register and can vote, please contact the Service Centre in Ås town hall.

How to vote?

Electronic voting
You may vote online at the website from Monday 30th of May to 9 PM on Sunday 12th of June. When you vote electronically, you will be asked to identify yourself by using MinID, BankID or BankID for Mobile.

Voting in advance
You may vote in advance by ballot paper, or get help to vote electronically, at the Service Centre in Ås town hall and at Nordby library. You can vote from Monday 30th of May to Friday 10th of June during opening hours.

Election Day, 12th of June
Sunday the 12th of June you can vote electronically or by ballot paper in either Ås Town Hall or Nordbytun secondary school from 1 PM to 9 PM. Remember your valid ID if you are going to vote by ballot paper.
